-ENGLISH The Hall Effect exploded onto the Colombian rock scene in 2006. A four piece indie band, their compelling fusion of rocking riffs and sonic inventiveness, soon gained a fervent following amongst fans and key media. The Hall Effect are: Oscar – vocals Charry – guitar Douglas – bass Andres – drums The band, who sings in English, released their debut album, 'Aim at Me', in 2007, on their own independent label. The singles, 'Become', 'Aim At Me', 'Unpure' and 'Trip Dog' were heavily rotated at radio. MTV was an early supporter of The Hall Effect with the result that the video for 'Aim At Me' reached the number 1 spot in Latin America. Because of that although they sing in english, MTV nominated them in 2007 as BEST INDEPENDENT ARTIST. The Hall Effect are widely hailed as an excellent live rock act, and it was no great surprise that they were asked to support international superstars Muse, Wolfmother (Paris), Franz Ferdinand and Gwen Stefani. The band have won numerous awards, "best rock band", "best album", "best video", among many others.... The Hall Effect have international ambitions which has brought them to London, Paris, New York and many more cities around the world. During 2009 they worked with Roxy Music's Phil Manzanera on their international debut album "The Hall Effect". On 2010 they did their first European tour, supporting Fiction Plane, ten cities in France and one in Spain. They also won that same year The Sennheiser "Hear I Am" Contest, among bands from Canada, United States, Mexico, Brazil and Colombia. Phil Manzanera: "For the last 20 years I've been producing the cream of rock artists from Spain and South America, and so when I heard The Hall Effect I knew that they had something special. The fact that they sing in English, have great songs, and are brilliant musicians, made this project an exciting challenge. And of course there is the fact that they are from Colombia, myself being half Colombian!" -SPANISH The Hall Effect aparecio en la escena de rock colombiana en el 2006. Una banda independiente de 4 integrantes, su convincente fusion de riffs rockeros y su inventiva sonica, pronto gano un apoyo ferviente de fans y de medios clave. The Hall Effect son: Oscar – voz Charry - guitarra Douglas – bajo Andres – bateria La banda quien canta en Ingles, lanzo su album debut "Aim at me" en el 2007, por sus propios medios. Los sencillos "Become", "Aim at me", "Unpure" y "Trip Dog" rotaron bastante en radio entre otros. MTV fue un apoyo desde el comienzo de The Hall Effect con el resultado que el video de "Aim at me" llego el puesto no 1 en Latinoamerica. Por esto aun cantando en Ingles, MTV los nomino en el 2007 como MEJOR ARTISTA INPEPENDIENTE. The Hall Effect son ampliamente aclamados como un excelente acto en vivo, por lo que no fue sorpresa que fueran escogidos para abrirle a artistas internacionales como Muse, Wolfmother, Franz Ferdinand y Gwen Stefani. La banda ha ganado numerosos premios como "mejor banda rock", "mejor album", "mejor video", entre otros... The Hall Effect tiene ambiciones internacionales las cuales los han llevado a Londres, Paris, New York y muchas otras ciudades alrededor del mundo. Durante el 2009 trabajaron con Phil Manzanera de Roxy Music en su album debut internacional. No hay discusión, ustedes son lo mejor del rock colombiano y paises a la redonda. Ojalá todos los artistas rockeros del país fueran como ustedes. Gracias por su entrega en el escenario, por su sencillez al tratarnos a todos sus seguidores, y por hacernos vibrar con la descarga musical que llevan a cuestas en todos sus tokes. Fue una verdadera rumba de rock en Arte Vivo y esperamos poder verlos así de seguido por estas tierras que ya pueden considerar suyas. Hasta pronto y seguimos en contacto. Gracias por venir a Medellín, tremendo toke y que descarga de rock como sólo ustedes saben.... la mejor banda de rock en Colombia... pero muy muy lejos de las demás, la calidad no se improvisa. Excelente CD en música y diseño, que todo su esfuerzo se vea recompensado. Gracias por intercambiar unas palabras conmigo y mi esposa al finalizar el concierto, ella aún no se lo cree, hace mucho tiempo queríamos verlos en vivo y se nos dio.... gracias por el pedazo de pizza y espero que la hayan pasado bien.
