Out of the saturated Detroit punk music scene...theres a band that comes out swinging with an adrenaline fueled live show with no barrier between the band and audience. The HandMe Downs, off there first tour jumped right into the studio and are ready to jump right back on the road. Bringing back melodic street punk and ska to the masses with their upcoming album "I Think Its About Time..."
The band started in the summer of 2005, when long time friends Roberto Villarreal (drummer) and Chris Cuddy (Vocalist) wanted to start a punk band. After many trials and failures they stumbled upon Bob Gibson (guitar) and Eric Scicluna (bass) while bullying the jukebox at a local pub. Since then they have played extensively, becoming one of Detroit's premier punk bands.
"The HandMe Downs smack you with punk that hasnt been seen since Lars and Joe Strummer (Metro times Music Fest 2007)"
