Influences
The Healing Road showed me how easily one can bring a project to life. RetroSound's music gave me the direction.
I was mainly influenced by Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Yes, Genesis, Peter Gabriel, Pink Floyd and Klaus Schulze. Other influences are King Crimson & Robert Fripp, Brian Eno, Tangerine Dream, Kraftwerk, Holy Fuck, Mike Oldfield and Rick Wakeman.
Sounds Like
Poor man's Klaus Schulze ;-) , Tangerine Dream, Robert Fripp's Frippertronics/Soundscapes and Brian Eno's Ambient works (and of course the Fripp & Eno collaborations). In other words, it's "bleeping & droning".
I'm Wolfgang and The Hard Drive is a project which I started in 2007. Beginning with soundscapes and other song ideas, the project somehow got lost.
Two years later, in early 2009, when I got to know The Healing Road's "Tales From The Dam", the idea of my project came back. In May 2009, I've reactivated it. Let's see what will happen.
I've got the name of this project from Tony Levin's website. This was the first suggestion on his "Name Your Band" list. So, thank you, Tony!
