About me:
The Harold Group is an art collective committed to endorsing the best of underground art and music alongside both nationally and internationally known artists. We have sponsored art parties and dance music events since December 2007. Our art parties occur quarterly (every two or three months) and we always try to cover the Harold House (located at 411 Harold Ave. in Candler Park) with as much art as possible. We usually get a couple of kegs, several different varieties of wine, and we cook. The Harold Group has a full kitchen staff (meat and vegetarian) at all of our house parties to ensure our guests get a great selection of food while enjoying the opportunity to see some sublime Atlanta art and hear masterful mixes from our DJs. We are independently funded by our members and we receive donations from a generous community of art and music lovers. In addition to exhibiting art and music in the atmosphere of the Harold House, The Harold Group also supports two dance nights at the Highland Inn Ballroom Lounge-- Thursday night at midnight our man Zano DJs his Night Court event, providing the interludes and after soundtrack to the coolest experimental open mic in ATL, and 'Lil Ray holds it down on Saturday at midnight with her radioactive Radiotron night...in which we get a study in electrocrunk dance music magic. We also support comic book art through our Phantom Electric project overseen by Saint. We're always looking for other venues to throw art shows and dance parties as on occasion we do branch out to other locations to do events.
