About me:
Welcome. Pulled together by an unseen force, I am an ingeniously crafted, sublime film installation, an haunting spectacle of light, sound & movement. I am an eccentric accumulation of disparate objects melded into a bizarre, intricate and chaotic kinetic machine-system. Multiple projected animated film loops & unsettling sonic interactions reinforce the ever-changing, fractured & jumpy ‘live documentation’ of my evolution and re-animation.
This collaborative project involves film makers Matt Hulse, Ben Rivers, Joost van Veen & visual artist Guy Bishop, supported by the Nederlands Filmfonds, Rotterdams Filmfonds, Thuiskopie Fonds, Scottish Arts Council, Scottish Screen, Arts Council England & Cafe Gallery Projects.
Distributed through LUX (UK) & Filmbank (NL). Shot on S8 & 16mm in Dresden, Czech Republic, Snowdonia & the Ariege.
A limited edition, hand-numbered DVD is available that includes the short film HARRACHOV, documentation of the installation at international film festivals & galleries, original artwork, eccentric inserts / extras including a CD featuring remixes of the film's soundtrack by UK / Netherlands artists Daniel Padden, Max Richter, Bob Levene with Pete McPartlan, Huib Emmer, Peter Fengler, Mark Vernon, Maja Borg, Roel van der Maaden, Kasko, Peter Max-Jakobsen, Mit Hat & Clever Dog.
The collector's edition DVD (limited multiple, 100 copies) is available in the UK here and in mainland Europe here.
