Don’t come to The Heathens looking for virtuosos, no coming for 10 minute solos. The Heathens are stripped out blues n one-twos, solid grooves & white-hot tubes. The Heathens have the dogged get up n go to play rock n roll the way we feel it should be played, the way it needs to be, torn & frayed.

Tight 50's Chicago blues and raucous stripped out early rock n roll heavily influence The Heathens music. Rooted in a kind of stripped out, ragged blues, the songs also take something from early punk/proto-punk bands such as The Velvet Underground, The MC5 and The Stooges. This adds a wild, discordant even volatile edge to the music leading to unpredictable results. Noisy, high-energy, almost confrontational performances drag the audience into this music to make you move.
Identity Parade are seeking a like minded trust worthy band or artist to share our rehearsal space. It is located beside Templeogue village and is very secure, comfortable and free from outside distraction so you can play as loud and for as long as you like. Room is treated and good for recording. There is also 24 hour access. If you are interested contact us on our myspace or email us at thewhitecoats@gmail.com

I just stuck up two new songs on my page there. After this there are only two more to go and then the whole album will have been put up (not all in one go though, obvioulsy).
Have a listen and let me know what you think. Hope you like them! My current favourite is up there too...
Sorry bout the group mail (despite your name being cunningly added into the first line. How did I do that?)
Anyways, stuck up some new recordings of songs we did in the album session in Electrical Audio. None of the songs are mastered yet and there are a couple of tweaks here and there to be done but I thought I"d stick em up so you could get a listen before the album is released.
I"m gonna rotate the songs on an as unyet decided basis (weekly, biweekly, triweekly even??) and include songs that didn"t make the final cut. Watch out for them...
The songs up now are There You Stand, This Is How We Play and Home.
