The Heavy Metal Meltdown is a full service metal radio program. We play anything and everything metal. Whatever you and your little mind calls your favorite type of metal, we play it. For example if your like death, black, heavy, hair, grind, doom, tech, hardcore, speed, or thrash metal, we will play it.
The Heavy Metal Meltdown has been on air since 1983 on 91FM WSUP.
The Meltdown has seen its share of hosts throughout the years, some of which now have "real" jobs such as a detective, a couple commercial radio DJs, bar owner, work for a record label, and even a farmer . Alcohol, metal, manure, and police. Awesome.
We're on air every Thursday night from 8pm - 2am.
