John Montagu, The Duke of Earl, Bob Gulden, Jimmy Hellman, Sweden, Jennifer Colby-Jack, Reuben Hillel The Elder and his wife Rachel et. al. We prefer to think of these pioneers not as influences but as "heroes" (Or "gyros" to our Greek friends).
For they were the ones bread for success, destined to be the big cheeses toasted and celebrated in every club from Hamburg to Monte Cristo, slathered with praise at the Mayo Clinic, chopping and dicing away at all the pickles life has ordered up and dodging every spear so that one day the little guy might be helped out of a jam and for once be allowed to beat the spread and knock a slider into the concession stand. That was a bit much wasn't it? Oh well, you know what they say; "When life gives you Sand,......"
Sounds Like
A nice MLT when the mutton is nice and lean, and the tomatoes are ripe.
The Heavy Sandwich began like most other sandwiches, from a blinding hunger. An insatiable hunger. A hunger never to be spoken of. There was a lot of hunger is what we're saying. But we shouldn't be speaking of it. Speaking of it will only result in getting the whatfor, and possibly even the business. So long as you know to refrain from discussing the hunger. No wait, it was fishing.
