   About The Helicon
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Take the advice of this building. Bring some quiet into your life. This building has thoughtfully provided a fire escape. Come and sit with The Helicon on the fire escape for a break.

Take time to ponder and ask some questions.

Since the beginning of time, people have asked questions. "Who am I?" "Why are we here?" "Who are you?" "What are you doing in my garden?" These are some of those questions.

The Helicon enjoys questions which make him Ponder. Think. Contemplate. The Helicon welcomes correspondence which makes him go Hmmm. A question. A quote, perhaps. An Image, visual or otherwise. Some Music.

The Helicon is a manipulator of acoustitronical instruments. He produces music in his mind and then uses machines to bring them to the outside world. Some are mechanical machines like guitars and pianos, but some are electronical machines like computers. They all work beautifully together to transmit these sounds to his fellow beings. It is music to think to. To encourage contemplation.

In his others guises, The Helicon produces and writes music for and with other people, several of whom are part of the MySpace universe. OneTwo, David Watson, Alex Valentine, Daliah, Kayal; these are some of those he has had the pleasure to work with.

His workplace is known as The Famous Yard which he runs with his co-conspirator The Aklamate. See myspace/TheFamousYard for details. The Famous Yard is the place in which The Helicon has been known to rock hard, skank hard, "drop" beats, groove hard, while lifting your spirits in the name of music.

But this is his quiet space.

You can make it yours.

Hello, Helicon,

Thanks for accepting. There seems to be some really lovely and subtle keyboard work on your songs. Nice one. I don't know if you're interested, but we've recently put up our new demo, so have a listen if you fancy it and tell us what you think.

Cheers,

Si and the rest of The Halcyon Glow

SPECIAL OFFER for MySpace's boho beatniks!

Snap up the Dylan Howe Quintet's new, acclaimed and final album 'Translation 2: Standards and Previews' for a piffling £5! But for the first 50 customers only, so get on it!

And there's more! We are now offering 'Translation Volume One' AND 'Translation 2: Standards & Previews' for just £10! (Normally £20)

Go to our page and just clink on the button under the offer to snap up the goodies. Well, they DO go together and they'd get lonely without each other...

You can also now buy Dylan Howe's first album 'The Way I Hear It' and second album 'This Is It' on our page too - £7.00 each - cheaper than iTunes...

Take advantage of our generous mood and get on that page, hepcats!

Groovy...

the Aklamate is the first "friend" to leave a comment since 9 Feb.
Either the Aklamate is special or you are lonely.

Here's something pompous - you take your day and artistically create it, so every moment has an artistic flavor.
