Members revolve, repair, dissolve, resolve, absolve. The gigs come and (mostly) go. Commonly heard - if not seen - are Don Rooke, Michelle Willis, Andrew Downing or Maury Lafoy, Mark Mariash. Then, of course, there's John Sheard, Michael White, Hugh Marsh, Paul Pasmore, Becca Stevens, Mary Margaret O'Hara, Jeremy Bellaviti, Jorn Andersen, et Al (Penner).
Influences
Robert Frank, Larry Towell, Tom Baril. Tronzo. The guys who make cappuccino in that coffee bar in the big piazza in Milano - when you're facing the Duomo, fake right and go left. You'll be drawn there as if to a human-attracting magnet. We roast green beans, pull espresso, steam microbubbles, striving for that level of (effective) perfection every day.
Cooder, Lindley, Trucks. Nick Lowe. Lefty Frizell... this otiose list could go on and on, so why bother? Well, you get to think about all these fabulous musicians I guess. So, Tom Waits, Dolly Parton, Roger Miller, Jerry Reed, Fritz Kreisler, Floyd Tillman, Duane. Lenny Breau and Buddy Emmons. I. Heap. The guy who invented the zone plate system. Polaroid - till they discontinued 665. Piltch - both of them. Aretha, standing out on the street singing Respect in her video when she was so young. Dr. John throwing candy bars into the audience at Cobo Hall in the 70s while singing Walk on Gilded Splinters. Sneaky Pete tossing his steel bar in the air after a solo. Lucky Oceans dancing all over the (rotating) stage like a dervish at Ontario Place. Rabbit ears for the TV. Dan Hicks at the Elmo. And 10,000 more.

Since 1990 (or so). 6 CDs. Tours in Canada, US, Holland, New Zealand, Italy etc. Main instruments are kona or weissenborn (acoustic lap style slide guitars), lap steel, pump organ, voice, trumpet, bass, chordette (by Excelsior), skins and a bunch of other junk. Often heard vocalizing in our company: Mary Margaret O'Hara, Becca Stevens. Mojo gave our CD ****. Even funnier was a magazine in NYC: "A band whose name does not give us the highest of hopes."
Hi henry man - thanx for that - send me your postal address i would like to send you a copy - i feel you might be in there somewhere in spirit so to speak. Try to make it to Rome next time - would love to hook up.
Rochdale? Not far from us - went there years ago and some five year old threw bricks at us so we chucked him in a puddle. Hope your photographs fare better. TMSDC
I will set a jar of our best stuff aside for you. In the Pacific Northwest, we value home made liquor, home grown food, home made music and nice people people to share it with!
You-re nice people and always welcome in the great NW.

Thanks for the nice comment and for agreeing to be our friends. We've been fans for ages and think we have most of your stuff, but is it true that there may be a new Henrys release as intimated on your website? Should we hold our breath, or will it be a difficult and prolonged birth? Do tell!
All the best, SDC
