'BBC Leicester favourites The Heroes possess the breakneck pace of the Arctic Monkeys, the old school skank of The Jam and the rough-hewn romance of the Libertines.'
The Heroes at Glastonbury 2009
BBC Introducing
‘Think about where you’ve seen it before. The unquestioned confidence. The precocious stage presence. The swagger. The one that says - we’re the best thing that have ever walked onto a stage and you should consider yourself privileged to be watching us. Sound familiar? All the great bands have had it. And so do The Heroes.’

We are an Indie/Mod/Punk band formed in Leicester during April 07. We have had a changes but found the right line up in August 09. Our main influences are The Libertines, The Jam and The Clash, but there are elements and influences from much more. In 2008 we stepped it up a gear, and after opening the Mainstage of the Summer Sundae Weekender, we built a fanbase and created the clubnight 'OVERDRIVE' which has proven to be one of the biggest clubnights the midlands have to offer. We have also played gigs across the country in Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham and London. We are getting some national recognition, having played on the line up for the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury 09 and being recently crowned winners of OBS 2009 and finalists of Surface unsigned festival, we are "very much the band to look out for in the not so distant future."
