The Higher Good is the brainchild of Paul Murin and Chris Sheldon of the well known Boulder-based tribute band, "PHIX: Celebrating the Music of Phish." After 5 years of non-stop national touring, the eerily accurate foursome decided it was time to move on to original projects once Phish had announced its long awaited return from "retirement." The Higher Good features Paul's searing guitar work, Chris' (Great American Taxi) command of a myriad number of rhythm styles, and adds some long time Colorado area musicians to the mix, including Phix's Brian Adams on bass. The band is focused on developing their own positive brand of improvisational Rock & Americana and has showcased their new sound to positive reviews over the last year in some of Colorado's premier music venues. As June Reedy of Grateful Web states, "This band's future is bright."
