Influences
Welcome to South London..... Rob, Jon, Marcus, Pete, Dom and I manage to get a record out every 3 years now, and that time has come around.
It's always a special moment in our lives.
There will be shows sprung upon you in unsuspecting places and venues. We await the flood of joy... It's coming!
Our influences are Harry Worth (long gone British comedian) and Bob Lind (the early Stuff ) and all the obvious ones that are spotted and documented. Players should be open about influence. It's the gift we hand around. For instance, a cool influence of ours might be Moondog or Donny Hathaway, Gary Usher or the John Philips solo albums, but I would not be honest if I did not also say that it was Madness, Jerry Dammers, The Pop Group, Scritti Politti, Suicide, The Undertones etc that got me playing music in 1980...
Sean.
FACEBOOK: Come and join The High Llamas on Facebook.
Live shows coming up in London, Birmingham and Manchester.
We would like to play shows in Spain, France, Germany and Italy and - if possible - we very much hope that we can make it across to the US too (if an adventurous promoter can be found!).
If any of you promoters out there would like us to play your venue/ town/ country please get in touch as soon as you like.
