High Rise Diaries are an established band on the North East UK music scene, after accumulating loyal support and a growing reputation through playing the finest venues in both Newcastle Upon Tyne and Sunderland.
The earliest recorded demo tracks; "Bodies", "Made Of Muscles", and "You Are My Ghost" were the first to be recorded in July '05. These tracks were debuted at the Chillingham Arms, Heaton, Newcastle in the summer of '05 to a tight crowd of loyal family and rowdy friends along with the track "Honey".
Live performances give the band the platform they need to demonstrate a more purposeful sound to the songs, and this has never been more evident than with the newest material. Additions to the live set in 2009 were; "Sell Me You", "Patron Saint of Lost Causes" and "Boy in a Rush".
The tracks for the "Sell Me You" single were recorded and produced independently in April 2009. In Autumn 2009 the band added "Machines" and "Recruitment" to their set after Ben joined as the new Bass guitarist.
Demo versions of the songs "Palaces", "Propeller" and "Pulse" were added in October '09, as a warm up to recording another CD. The tracks "Machines", "Palaces" and "Propeller" were recorded and produced by the band in November and distributed in early December to fans at the Cluny 2 gig in Newcastle.
