The album is finally finished!! I'm very proud of it and very, very excited!! Because of Christmas I won't be able to take it to be replicated early next week and it will be available of sale shortly thereafter (although if you are on the mailing list i am offering a special deal . . . starting tomorrow :) It will take a few weeks to a possibly a month until it is up on iTunes due to the time it takes for processing.
Thanks so much for all your support and interest in my music!!

For the last year and a half I've had the privilege to have working with one of the best drummers i know, Bryan Wegman. However, after drums were recorded and edited and a few other things tracked Bryan and i decided it would be best if we stopped working together.
At that time money had gotten pretty tight and Bryan had the opportunity to take a full time job at the Apple Store. He fell in love with the job and we felt it best if he spend his time on his career with Apple rather than with The Highway Beautiful.
A couple days ago Bryan decided to move to MN in order to be closer to his girlfriend (a wonderful young lady he met while on tour in MN in 2006) He'll be packing up his stuff and making the move early in '09.
Good luck Bry!!

I'm having the album edited and mixed in a small town outside of Buffalo called Fredonia. It also happens to be the small town outside of Buffalo that in which i attended college, so needless to say, i like it here :)
the guy doing the mixing is a fellow named Ryan Laurie. I am staying in the guest bedroom of his house while we work on the album all this week. He just got married a week or so ago (he got back from his honeymoon on sat) so i was afraid that his wife would be upset that i was staying there with them, but she's like my music for a couple years and is glad that i am here. She has fed me very well and has even put chocolates on my pillow :) i'm not kidding :) haha
They have a small dog named jack. i don't know what kid he is but he is def small enough to throw pretty far if i ever got a hankerin to throw a dog. I don't know how he isn't fat because he mostly sits on my lap and sleeps all day. The only time i see him not sleeping is when we are eating, during this time he standing at my feet waiting for food to fall. Today i fed him:
- a piece of banana
- a glob of oatmeal
- sliver of turkey
- weird slimy stuff on a piece of chicken i marinaded yesterday
- a Dorito
The first song Ryan and i started working on is a song called Always. I like it and it has a funny rock-a-billy feel to it. We recorded a few new parts today (an "egg" (which we went to the music store to buy, while there i also bought an Eb Harmonica and a Kazoo) and me pounding my chest in rhythm to sound kinda like a train. (it worked) We've spent about 18 hours on the song so far. Ryan loves this song and thinks that of all the songs it is the one that will make me famous, so he wants it perfect, which is fine by me :)
Its 10:30pm and he is stopping for the night.
We are starting in the morning again around 10.
12 hours a day is enough haha
New Album Coming Soon!!
For the last year I've been working on a new album and because of a things called Parkinson's law (which paraphrased says that a given task will keep expanding to fill the time allotted for its completion) the album has taken forever to be finished. But, that is all changing. I'm scheduled to take it for mixing the first week of Oct. 2008 and to be mastered First week of Nov. That means that it should be for sale before Christmas!!
