I have so many interests, but I've narrowed things down considerably. I am most focused on writing and making films--two dreams that are finally coming full circle. But also I'm into...
The sound that rain makes as it washes over the forest outside my window; those little dimples on your face that become larger when you smile (they melt me down, they really do!); a fresh coat of lip gloss; the first sip of hot coffee (no sugar, just cream); the lines around my eyes that are faint but forming into deeper burrows and I'm okay with that; chisled boys running through the Hopkins campus as I pass in my car with windows open; something so funny it makes me snort as I laugh; really tiny life forms like kittens and baby ferrets; hugs from people I know and love; the joy of a first kiss; the sorrow of a last goodbye.
Music
Okay, I'm partial here, but if you love the Thrushes as much as I do (I love the four of you guys, Anna, Rachel, Casey & Ryan!) and you think Rich Steiber is a cute genius, well...you'll love this video! Shot entirely on location at my building and in my apartment! (Oh and Jordan Fewell is one righteous chick!--She's the star!)

Movies
My dear friend Rich made this amazing video of my favorite Thrushes song, "Aiden Quinn." I feel so lucky to have such a sweet and talented group of friends! Rich, you are amazing!
I worked on this film!!! Most of the clothes you see were found by yours truly!!! Corey was sweet and so was Keith Coogan. We razzed Coogan regularly with "The dishes are done, man!" and he never broke. Got to love guilty pleasures--don't watch this movie if you want quality. It's not Haim or Coogan's best work (or mine, for that matter--my ex-husband forced me to quit mid-filming!).

Kat-O-Nine Tales is off to the Bloody Bucket in Woodberry on Union and Ash!! Woot!!
Nobody wants to be ordinary and I'm no exception. Born in Utah, I spent the first 18 years of my life there until my older sister convinced me to point my wagon east. I lived in New Jersey for a bit, then settled down in Maryland.
I married at the tender age of 22; it lasted for 10 years. We didn't have children and we're friends now. I'll leave it at that. You can read the book about it some day.
Now that I'm older and wiser, I'm doing the things I love with my life. I have a lot of completely amazing friends, a close bond with my family and two little furballs who keep me company at my humble apartment. My life is nothing I ever expected it to be; it's better than anything I could have imagined.
I am a writer, socialite, blogger, filmmaker and friend.
