Sounds Like
If country music and southern rock got together and produced children, it would be the "The Hippie Holler" band.
The band has 4 members, who started playing together in 2002. Mainly playing for benefits to raise money for people in need wheither it be because of a house fire, cancer, motorcycle accident or loss of a loved one. One of the first benefits was played for a friends daughter, who was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of one. She is now in remission and is our poster child and number 1 supporter. To date, $60,000.00 has been raised by the Hippie Holler hangout keyholders along with the help of many friends and family. Isn't it great to see a community come together for a person in need. We've come into our own after volunteering to play at a Relay for Life event in Malvern, AR. in April of 2008. Since then we have had the pleasure of playing several local clubs. In July of 2008 we recorded 11 of our 22 original songs at Winterwood Studio in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Bob Katz of Digital Domain in Orlando Flordia mastered it and Disc Makers is producing the CD and echo wallets. The "WE RODE ON" CD is dedicated to a dear friend who lost her life due to a motorcycle accident, and was released Jan. 2009. Our songs are based on personal and life experiences that a majority of people of all ages can relate to, which sold 1,000 copies in 5 months. *** We recently won a "Battle of the Bands" battleing against four other very good bands. By winning we will preform at Riverfest 2009 - Arkansas' largest event. Opening for Little River Band. *** A friend is just a stranger you haven't met yet. Don't you want to Holler with the Hippies.
