Getting hit in the face with a cream pie, as opposed to merely watching a clown do it on TV.
Tall Tale 39
----------------
Born in a log cabin, c. September 2001; THE HISS began their slow and steady rise into the trash rock pantheon. Uncompromising & mischievous students of classic songwriting; unwilling to drop the banner of "ROWDY." Classic, but never too classy; early comparisons to The Faces (Big and Small), "Exile" era STONES, The Gun Club, & MC5 weren't far off the mark.
HISTORY: By the time their local saloon was destroyed (the work of what we can only presume to be terrorists), the seeds of THE HISS were fully sown and taking root in 2 of Gainesville, Florida's own: THE YOUNG AMERICANS & PERFORMANCE. This collective terrorized (there's that word again) local parties and houseshows with drunken guerilla performances; sometimes improvising drumsticks with kitchen utensils, much like the jazz greats before them.
With $40 cash between them, Adrian Barrera and Todd Galpin hastily set their sights on Atlanta, Georgia, a large southern township with a thriving gay scene, and soon set up shop.
Since then they have: Toured the U.S., Europe, & the U.K. extensively & shared stages with the likes of Cheap Trick, Oasis, B.R.M.C., JET, The White Stripes, Electric Six, The Warlocks, The Raveonettes, & Starlight Desperation to name a few. One time, they even partied with Mike Joyce and Andy Rourke. Their first self-produced single TRIUMPH entered into the UK top 20.
CHOCOLATE HEARTS, the group's second LP is out now on Dangerous Moves International.
THE HISS are available for private get-togethers, corporate events, children's birthdays, Quinceaneras, Sweet sixteens, Debutante balls, Bat Mitzvahs, & Bachelorette parties. Fees Vary.
The Hiss are Adrian Barrera, Todd Galpin, Milton Chapman, & George Reese.

I can't believe it you guys are serious rockstars! I think the music sounds great and I am proud to say I gave Todd my doubles of a few Stones and The Who albums way back in the day.
