Play-forward-pauze-rewind-and-stop. Or what bounds two architects, two brothers and a singer with Italian roots.
Formed in 2000, Soon releases its first album ‘Please Accelerate’ on Funtime Records two years later. Word spreads around, and gradually building up a live reputation they become the darlings of their local scene, playing at the Pukkelpop Festival as a highlight of their first album accomplishments.
Their second one ‘Under The Wire’ (2005/Funtime Records) eventually starts under press superlatives but takes its time to get under people’s skin after all. Soon reaches national airplay with two singles and record a videoclip with Nicolas Karakatsanis. They get in the van to The Netherlands and Germany and post their first blog on MySpace.
Almost three years - and many guitars- later they’ve copypaisted their analogue and digital inspirations into a new album ‘As of yet’ (2008/Funtime Records). Except from their album title choice consistency, the boys have written songs that sound warmer and summarize their friendship, tastes and arguments. The melting guitars speak, the rhythm section never stops and the vocals are up to seduce metropolitan girls.
