"Serenade The City" directed by Nicolas Karakatsanis

Soon’s musical ingredients consist of driven postpunk guitars, an energetic, straight-to-the-point rhythm section and a sound that keeps it's balance between melodic catchiness and an unpolished vibe.
After reaching the finals of Belgium’s renowned “Humo’s Rock Rally” in 2002, the band gets picked up by Funtime Records, releasing a first full length album “Please Accelerate” one year later. Due to the positive response by the local indie scene and music press, word spreads around and soon enough the boys from Soon are hitting stages from local squats to festivals like Pukkelpop as well as playing support acts for bands like Karate and The Thermals. Gradually building up a live reputation, they take their first steps accross the border, bringing them in different venues all over the Benelux and also Austria, France and The UK.
Late 2005 Soon come up with the well received album “Under The Wire”, mixed at Fortress Studios in London by Gareth Parton (The Go Team, Futureheads, The Pipettes > www.garethparton.co.uk), reinventing their sound and refining their songwriting skills. It features 10 compelling songs with 2 singles that are picked up by national radio. At this very moment they’re working on new material, a sneak preview song from the upcoming album can be expected on an American split album released by Engineer Records sometime in the beginning of 2007.

“Their raw and youthful vigor pronounced throughout the album is a forceful breath of freshness into a stagnant genre. While they have not made much of an impact outside of their locale, with an album like this under their belt and moxy to spare, boundaries may not hold them.” (DECOY MUSIC)
