hey, love the blog, thanks for all the great updates. i wanted to get your thoughts on something.
a lot of critics say that perhaps the only weakness of ours on defense (outside of getting more productive tackle play) is a young group of linebackers. why is there no talk of starting cody grimm alongside cam martin? grimm is, i believe, the leading tackler and second in sacks that is returning. i know that he was used last year to spell martin, and that one could knock on his size, but his speed and nose for the football resulted in 7.5 sacks last year - not bad for a "little" linebacker. plus, as a senior , you'd have more leadership on the field, as well as a better coverage option for pass plays in grimm (i think he had two picks last year).
i definitely believe that jake johnson will be a great player, but why not start grimm too? i think he definitely earned it after last year. thanks!
yea wathing him last night though it might not of been agaiat the best d he was just amazing and the speed wow and yea seeing him go 60 yards to the house almost untouched,yea i think hes going to be what we havnt really had in a while someone who can take it to the house on any play and add that too the toughness of evens and the all around abilty of williams of backfield is going to be loaded for years to come!but yeah i know what u mean and yea playing in the acc is defantly a step up from the compition hes been playing but no matter what he does this year when he does make it on the field i think hes got everything it takes to be special kinda reminds me of a reggie bush type player and hopefully they might use him kinda like that as well because once he hits the hole hes gone!but one things for sure the acc better beware for the next couple of years because with tyrod and our backs and ever our receavers this has a chance to be a very explosive offence exspecially of our line holds up!then add that to an always desent defence and special teams the whole nation had better be ready!but thanx for letting me know i really feel these next few years is going to offer something special!!
yea football almost here cant wait but just to let everyone know if u can check out the jr national football team in action these next few weeks in canton oh as 2 future hokies will be on the field first off is on of the captains of the team and a future star here at tech david wilson and also tariq edwards1but u can check it out at jwcfootball.com all the game are watchable from there and the us plays france tommarow night in there first game at 8pm so if u want check it and 2 future hokies out and show them some support!
i have a question with our loaded backfield whats the chances david wilson will play this year?yea i know the compation isnt as great as some but to see him on friday football extra and then to see him agaist france in the jwc tonight this guy is something special and in my option may acually possably be the best of all the backs where going to have and thats hard to say with someone like ryan williams and darrel evens but when i see the speed and just the way he ran all over the french for 181 yards on just 12 carries and 4 touchdowns and even one td of 60 yards it really blew my ming and teriq edwards also looked pretty good as well and he looks like he may be one of the next great lbs here at tech!but i gotta say its great to know were going to be loaded a while at the running back position!i just wounder how we will use all of them by having so many!

i hope he can make up for his speed with his strength..maybe stop the guy trying to move him. Thus clogging everything up...I tell you what I can't believe how tall and heavy our new OL is, and the 2nd string there is no drop off in size if anything the younger o-lineman seem taller and heavier. I can't wait for April 25th, I wish I could make it to today's scrimmage. I'm def. gonna be at that 25th scrimmage. It will be my kids first time
