HOLY CURSE, from now on in a tighter quartet formula, pushes their High-Energy to the max and their raw and driving impro sound is reminiscent of Southern Preachers rants, rather than the same old, same old chorus/verse tricks. Sometimes it sounds like it’s written on acid and sometimes it sounds like it’s written on speed… you decide.
THE HOLY CURSE has been produced by Deniz Tek from Radio Birdman in Sydney, Australia and by Jim Diamond (White Stripes, Dirtbombs) in Detroit, Motor City, USA.
They’ve shared the stage with Radio Birdman, The Saints, The New Christs, The Bellrays, The Flaming Sideburns, Slaughter and the Dogs, Hydromatics, The Fleshtones, Cowboys from Outerspace, Neurotic Swingers, The Hatepinks, Jerry Spider Gang and others.
Australia was right up for THE HOLY CURSE in 2005, when they toured to promote their compilation album, Wear your Fricken Seatbelt (Off the Hip Records). In the good ole US of A, they’ve played New York, Detroit and Toledo.
Their new vinyl album Feed the Dogs was released in 2008, and is available now through Believe Digital (www.believedigital.com), and from Scottish label Twenty Stone Blatt. In the USA they are released by Lumberjack Mordam (www.lumberjackmordam.com).
