About me:

THE HOMEGROWN HOUR plays the Country/Rock/Folk/Blues - read "roots" artists you can't hear anywhere else anymore. Also focusing on local talent from North Carolina and Virginia. Every week, we air legendary artists from Merle Haggard, Bonnie Raitt, and Delbert McClinton to underappreciated acts such as the Bottle Rockets, James McMurtry, as well as the best music our listening area has to offer. We also feature local artists live in our studio performing their original material. You can listen live to The Homegrown Hour every Sunday night on us983.com! If you want your band heard on THE HOMEGROWN HOUR, just send a CD of at least three original songs (or your full album, if available, with your best three songs marked on the cover) to: THE HOMEGROWN HOUR US 98.3 P.O. BOX 1603 OXFORD, NC 27565 ...or send your three best songs via e-mail in mp3 format (one song per e-mail, please) to: mike@us983.com Artists understand that CDs will not be returned and become property of WLUS-FM and its parent company Lakes Media LLC and may be used on-air and in promotional messages.

Who I'd like to meet:

Anyone who wants/needs their music heard in North Carolina and Virginia! Check out these folks when you get a chance:
