The Hot Rods were formed in December of 2005 and have now become one of the southeast’s premier touring rock and roll bands. Known for inventing their own genre of music made from blending rock, psychobilly and punk with a hint of southern rock they have truly defined their own sound. Catchy lyrics combined with musical hooks, The Hot Rods deliver a super high energy stage show with super high energy music. The Hot Rods have performed with Nashville Pussy, Honky, TH' Legendary Shack Shakers, Buckcherry and many others. Over the last couple of months, The Hot Rods were a featured act on Myspace and were selected as a Pabst Blue Ribbon band of the week in 2006 and band of the month in 2007 in Atlanta's Creative Loafing news magazine. The Hot Rods now have a full endorsement from Pabst Blue Ribbon and Jack Daniel's. They are receiving stellar reviews in publications throughout the southeastern U.S. on an almost weekly basis. In the short time The Hot Rods have been together, venues have had record attendance and alcohol sales. The Hot Rods released their debut CD entitled "SUPER SPORT" in October of 2007. Recently The Hot Rods signed with Jonathan Hibbert to produce their second album. "Jonny" is best known for discovering and signing R.E.M. in the early eighties to his label Hib-Tone Records. The Hot Rods have just finished recording with Jonny and the new self titled CD was released on March 31st of 2009 through Universal Music Group. They have also been signed to management with Lanny West and Leslie Fram of Tipping Point Entertainment. The Hot Rods are already receiving airplay on many college, commercial and internet radio stations. The Hot Rods are touring extensively throughout the U.S., Japan and Europe in support of their releases. Look for a live concert DVD filmed on location in Atlanta to be released as well. The live DVD will be produced and directed by "TWISTED PRODUCTIONS" who worked with music legends GARY KURFIRST and CHRIS BLACKWELL on the video "PINK LIPSTICK" featuring LEMMY KILMISTER of "MOTORHEAD" fame......THE GODFATHER!!!!!!!!!!!!
Last night/day had to be one of the top five best of my life! In a word: EPIC! It was so awesome to see you cats and the adventures were historic... only wish I was going to Vegas!
