You might say we sound like Neil Young sat down with Nirvana, but then ditched Nirvana and ran off with The Libertines. After a while, when Carl and Pete split, Neil Young was left alone once again so he had to find someone else. He flirted with Simple Minds, only to find out that Oasis knocked them out (the official explanation coming from Liam Gallagher about this incident was "shhh-ahhrrcht". Police is still investigating). But Neil didn't like Oasis' attitude and went to see Blur instead. Neil is starting to realize that him and Damon Albarn have much in common: they try out lots of different things that don't make any sense but somehow work.
We are a band and there are now 3 members in this band. Some people call our band a trio. Other people call it The Hot Showers. For a while we were not The Hot Showers anymore we were The Showers. But then we became The Hot Showers again. We're quite happy with the name The Hot Showers. Besides naming our band, we also play music. We sound like other music because other music employs some of the same instruments. But we are experimenting with Hindu scales currently so we're giving our music the Monet treatment: a vast landscape with many colors. Sometimes, you wish he would stop painting landscapes though, but he's dead now so it's ok.
Besides that we're doing good. A few songs here and there, a show, also. We will do more shows soon maybe. Recently, as far as being productive goes, we have released our own, homemade EP named "Bunny Hugs". Bunny Hug is the name of a drink we once tried, which if you have never tried it, well you should, because it's....special. You can actually download the entire EP on our website for free. We encourage you to do so, and if you like it, go on and force other people to do the same! We'd like that.
The year 2009 so far has seen us do quite a few shows, and with the next remaining months of this delightful first decade since the Y2K bug failed to hit, we're going to do more. Soon, we're going to release a 2nd EP entitled "Baden Baden". Baden Baden is the name of a drink we once tried, which if you have never tried it, well you should, because it's....special. This is going to be a different EP - it will contain 2 new songs that will make it on the album as well as a few more acoustic songs that will be recorded specifically for this EP. We won't give you this EP for free. Not because we're mean, we actually consider ourselves to be nice people, but we figured it'd be a good idea to start making at the very minimum our costs back. We're really quite horrible business people, but we hope that this will be to our advantage, and to yours at the same time.
For now, these are the plans, as we are recording our first full length totally on our own, independent little spirits we are. Meanwhile, you'll have 2 EP's for the price of one to enjoy!

Hut Ab geht in die 3. Runde
Lieber Freund und Besucher unseres Kleinkunstwohnzimmers,
das war nun auch die 2. Runde der Veranstaltung “Hut Ab“. Das gemütliche Ambiente lud ein weiteres mal zum verweilen, zuhören und genießen ein. Annika Hein und Band überraschte das Publikum mit einer vielseitigen multiinstrumentalen Performance. Mit leisen Tönen verzückte uns Dana Shanti und ließ uns den lauten Alltag vergessen. Last but not least, Sid der Liedermacher zauberte mit gesungem Wort und Witz allen ein Lächeln ins Gesicht. Nicht zu vergessen die Leckerein von unserem buchhaltenden Chefkoch Rudi. Es war wieder ein schöner runder Abend. Wie immer gilt ein ganz besonderer Dank an die Künstler und die vielen fleißigen Helfer.
Hoffentlich bis zum 06.11.09, wenn es wieder heißt „Hut Ab“ im ORWOhaus.
