Sounds Like
Art Soul, Pop doom, Conceptual Freestyle. There's a drunken barbary coast bar sailor song in there for sure...and Aretha, I heard her at one point...we're still listening for more...
Zepparella decided to lock ourselves in a room and write some original music. It ended up as The House of More.
Pretty immediately after our first Zepparella show, we realized that this combination of personalities was something extraordinary. From the first time on stage there was such a strong musical connection that it felt like a homecoming. And we know that in a musical career, that kind of connection may be the most elusive gift of all.
We each have such widely diverse musical tastes, but Led Zeppelin was the common ground that brought us together. The songs are so challenging and wonderful, and getting inside them brought us together in a powerful way. The magic of Zeppelin was the dynamic energy between the four musicians, and we can't help but marvel at how the songs allowed us to feel that energy too.
So it was natural to arrive at this place, trying our hand at writing. The House of More debuted in April 2006 at Slims. We opened several times for ourselves as Zepparella. Okay, we freely admit that this may be a way to convince people into letting us be on stage longer each night! What can we say, it's our favorite place to be.
Our debut 10-song album is available at Zepparella shows.
Thanks to everyone for all the support, and thanks always to Zeppelin for the spark.
Wow... You had your premier on my birthday? Kick ass! Gretchen, are you somehow responsible for this little coincidence? That's my "L.W.N.G." (you know what it means)!
May the Godz of Rock 'n Roll Glitter Heaven shower everlasting stage prowlness upon you and bless your beautiful minds with thoughts of joy, and all the boogie children stack red and gold flowers onto the arms of the ones you adore, thus: Making there Day!
