I have had to cancel my appearance at MEMF and cannot accept any weekend shows for the time being. My father has been diagnosed with a terminal illness and I want to spend as much time with him as possible. While it was easy to decide between family and performing, it's still tough knowing that I won't get to play at MEMF. It was an incredible opportunity and I am deeply grateful to NATO and MC Obliquity for the invitation to play on the Maximum Choonage stage. I would like to thank everyone for the overwhelming support you've given me, especially Maximum Choonage, UncensoredUs, and Nascent Numen.
I'm still taking a break to spend more time with my family and work on original material, but I am going to be playing a Thursday or Friday here and there. My friends and family like to dance, too ;)

Minneapolis-based House of Zed is Zed Grafing, a.k.a Reverend Zed. He's been a jazz musician, rocker, and occasional Karaoke whore, but electronic music is his passion. And yes, Zed is a Gnostic minister.
A purely digital artist, House of Zed interfaces performance hardware and software with traditional DJ gear for a completely tactile-driven experience. He fuses both traditional mixing techniques with digital effects in a style that doesn't try to emulate vinyl or CD DJs. It instead celebrates the unique sounds and capabilities of technology fused with and inspired by the human spirit and love of the boom boom boom...
Interweaving his own beats and melodies with the incredible music of some of the people he truly admires, House of Zed creates a vibe that brings the tribes together to BOUNCE...
9/29/2007 - This is the shit, ya dig? Recorded live at The Man Still Stands on September 29th in the year of the Good Lawd 2007. This was a gathering of friends, family, & the very various of The Tribe to gather, share, educate and celebrate the good times we had at Burning Man. I was so deep into my tracks I threw some hammers from time to time, but the vibe was fucking spectacular. Nuff' Said. The Man Still Stands
9/14/2007 - Kick ass progressive breaks set, recorded live at Atmospheric @ Club Underground on September 11, 2007. House of Zed @ Atmospheric
3/28/2007 - Here's a promotional mix for y'all. It's not the style I normally perform for the tribes, this is more of a nice interlude. Good for the brain. I woke up one Sunday a couple weeks ago fresh from dreaming. I dreamt I was doing a set in the desert as the first light of the sun began to break over the mountains. The words "It's a brand new day" were on my lips. I sat down at my mixer with a cup of coffee and this came out.
It's a short mix of some of my favorites; Shiloh (a Nick Warren remix), BT (Timo Maas remix), Grayarea, as well as a couple others I really enjoy. All the tracks are available on Beatport and other music sites. Support the artists you enjoy by purchasing their music. I hope you like it... HoZ - New Day Mix
