The Hovercrafts career trajectory has gone in leaps and bounds since forming in Melbourne in 2004. 2005's 'The Get Around EP' (Cavalier/Shock) gained the band national exposure with heavy radio play on Triple J, RRR, PBS and FBI. They've thrilled packed-out rooms in Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne and rural Victoria, and in 2006, ventured across the Pacific for the first time, playing shows in the U.S.
A debut album has been recorded and mixed to tape at Melbourne's Sing Sing studios by Matt Maddock (Dan Kelly, Something For Kate, End of Fashion). It's set to pick 2008 up by the collars, shake it round a bit, and throw it back down in a whole new direction!

J'adore The Hovercrafts and their swingin 60s sounds... it takes us back to the days we spent at The Cavern and The Kaiserkeller (well, the days we spent there in our imagination, that is) ;)
The Declans are looking for a 2nd guitarist/keyboard, a drummer, and a bassist. If you live in Melbourne and one of these instruments is your trade please drop me a line - Jason.
Hey guys, Greetings from Austin, Texas (via Melbourne). Thanks for the add. I really dig the power-pop sound of The Hovercrafts. Enjoy The Declans home demos. It's early days, the best is yet to come!
