Our 4 track EP Greetings from Vogeltown West is available now. It’s got moments of quietness, moments of loudness, moments of poppiness, and some epic moments, not forgetting the self deprecating observations on life. Brett sings 3 songs, Craig sings 1, and Simon sings none, but to make up for this, Simon drew the pretty pictures on the front. Garage Collective did a mighty fine job screenprinting the packaging.
It's limited to 90 copies, so get in quick. Get it online from SmokeCDs, or offline at SlowBoat records in Wellington. Look out for it in other fine stores round the country soon… or get in contact with us direct, and we'll sort you out with one!

The Huhu have been going for a w h i l e. They’re not in a hurry. Last century, Brett and Simon used to play together in Marineville. Simon could’ve met Brett earlier in the last century, if, when the occasion arose to join a band, he'd said yeah rather than nah.
After a while Brett left Marineville, then after another while, Simon left Marineville. Then after another while, Brett and Simon thought that they’d still like to play together (no, not that way, get your mind out of the laundry). Brett roped in his tenant from next door Craig, to play guitar. They worked out a bunch of songs, and half recorded them (One day Brett will do the vocals). Then Craig moved to Christchurch.
Brett and Simon were left guitarless, they mucked around for a while and wrote some more songs.
Then Ross Kettle joined, and they played a selection of gigs, to small audiences. Then Ross left to follow the call of the banjo with The Hi-Aces.
Brett and Simon were left guitarless, they mucked around for a while and wrote some more songs (again).
Jules expressed interest in jamming, and did so for a while, helping write some more songs. Then Craig moved back from Christchurch after a few years, bring it all full circle. They did some more recordings, to complete the E.P Greetings from Vogeltown West.
The live tracks were recorded at Happy in August 2006.
In their spare time: Brett’s involved in StinkBuzz records, and records with his friend Dr Rhythm as “Return of the Wahlbergs”. Craig produces solo material as “Insert Name Here”. Simon plays drums in “The Hi-Aces”.
