The Hukaholix are stoned out of their minds. Formed in 2003 when their original bassist "Scott E. Coyote", on a drunken coke binge, decided it would be a good idea to call his high school friends, "Jah Rasta Mike" and "Cruste Sean", to start a band. Mike enlisted his brother "Dyin' Brian", a recent graduate of drumming technology school, to play drums. With hopes as high as Scott's inebriated pitch, Mike, Sean, and Brian moved from Washington, Hawaii, and Minnesota to San Francisco to meet Scott and formed the Hukaholix. Playing their first few shows at Irish pubs and open mics, the Hukaholix slowly learned the ropes and worked their way into the San Francisco bay area punk cirquit. In 2005 the band released their DiY debut CD "Put the knife down, you're stoned!", recorded on 4 track cassette tape. Only 5 are known to exist. Scott E. Coyote left the band in 2006 and the Hukaholix continued as a three piece playing monthly in the San Francisco bay area and self-released their second CD "Live Fast Die Stoned" in 2007. In 2008, the band recruited bassist "Rooster" in a craigslist ad and the Hukaholix were re-born. A newer, heavier, more militant pro-weed, anti-authority sound emerged and they soon recorded and released their third CD "HIT THE BONG!" in late 2008. Now the band plays regularly in Rooster's home town of Concord, CA and throughout the Bay Area and as far as Las Vegas and Lake Tahoe. Stay tuned for their fourth DIY CD "Skull And Bongs" scheduled for release in early 2009.
