With carefully composed polyrhythms, jagged guitar lines, and layered, breathy vocals, THE HUNDRED IN THE HANDS keep the raw energy of post-punk illuminating their minds and Studio One boogie-down beats churning in their guts. This is no Rock concert spectacle, no stationary stare-fest. These are soundsytem-backed, foot stomping, clap hands beats for akimbo-limbed boogie kids. Ballrooms and bar floors are built strong, it’s time to give them a pounding.
Hi there, you probably won't remember this as it was ten months ago (I'm very behind) but I met you at your first gig which was at Union Pool in Williamsburg while I was on holiday in New York checking out the local music. I filmed your set and put it up, it's a bit distorted but if you turn the sound down a bit it's much more listenable. There's another 3 videos on YouTube. Hope you're well, enjoy. :)
so I was out this weekend in the city with some friends and I yelled across the street to a friend, "you be bombed Berlin!" and then instead of her responding some random guy on the sidewalk yells "I'll play Stalingrad!" I laughed and waved.
You're sweet! I said no to a show UNFORTUNATELY with The Hundred In The Hands for JezebleMusic.com because they wanted the bands involved to agree to not play shows in New York 1 1/2 weeks before and after the show : ( I hope we can play a show some where soon. Don't judge from the tracks I have up now! I have works up my goth sleaves for live shows : ) LIGHT
