Sounds Like
We're a mix of many styles -- just what you would expect from a band whose members were each influenced by a different "era" of rock/blues/folk/indy. Our sound is bluesy vocals mixed with sometimes swampy undertones, sometimes funky overtones, and sometimes straight ahead kick-ass rock.

The band was started in Chapel Hill/Carrboro, North Carolina in 2006. Originally a blues band, HYW54's sound is now a concoction of Blues, Folk and Rock. For the last year the band has been working to develop an original sound using material written by different band members. If you enjoy the samples, come out and see our live shows...
