Their style is a familar one in pop history. Plain english lyrics that speak for a generation through ultra-catchy tunes that will have you humming for weeks. Think Madness, The Housemartins, Blur, The Streets, Lily Allen, but for a generation born in the 1990's.

The Iconyx we're formed in November 2007 by George Harris and Dan Perks. The two of them met while studying music at South Devon College. Dan had already half formed a band when he started the course but was in desperate need of a singer. When the course tutor decided to put the rest of the people on the course into bands, he asked for a volunteer to join Dan's current band as a singer and George quickly threw his arms in the air as a volunteer.
After a quick change of drummer and bass player for Kit Perry and Matt Featherstone respectively, the band started gigging around the Torbay area.
The new line-up had to learn 45 minutes worth of material in just one week, ready for the college's valentines gig, which was a huge success. From that first gig onwards The Iconyx have performed at well over 150 gigs around the South West so far. They have also recorded a demo EP at the infamous Sawmills recording studio in Cornwall.
In July 2009 Dan left the band and was quickly replaced by Josh Iszard. Josh brings a smooth bluesy soloing style to the music and the added benefit of another backing vocal.
The band are available for gigs all around the southwest... so please send us a message if you want to book us.... - we hope u enjoy our music.
