THE IMOGEN STYLES started off back in 2005 as just one person. The aim was to make charismatic, catchy, yet unmistakably British pop music with an electronic bent, influenced by bands, artists and producers such as the Pet Shop Boys, Pulp, Human League and Richard X.
A number of gigs were played in various venues around Manchester to an always appreciative crowd, and eventually in 2008 two new members joined the band.
Syma (and it’s just ‘Syma’ – like Madonna, she needs only one name) provides extra vocal eroticism up front alongside founder member Christopher Dresden Styles, and Timothy Blasé was recruited to provide some actual ‘real life’ keyboard action to compliment the already thrilling electropop backing tracks.
The bands debut single is due to be released on Monday 30th November 2009. 'Support The Arts!' / 'Living It' is a double A-side release on digital download and also VERY limited edition CD on sexydoggy records.

Aw bless you honey! I'll come and grab you if I can make it on Saturday but I'm gonna try my damndest too! I'm suprised I got internet access in my new place as not signed up yet so I think some kind person is letting me use their's wirelessly which is rather nice of them (even tho they dont actually know!). Also I noticed a comment on yours re the warehouse parties..I assume that's the Boddingtons ones? I went to 2ManyDJs and off to the Annie Mac one with the Klaxons and Black Strobe later this month! If you havent been yet then you are in for a treat!
