Shaughnessy is a musician from the North West of England. It seems an obvious thing to say but with Shaughnessy, the song is king. The constant pursuit of melody and hooks keeps Shaughnessy reaching for something classic. Usually pigeon-holed by the industry as falling somewhere between Paul Weller and Damien Rice, regardless of this Shaughnessy would instead like to say that he has influences that range from - Neil Finn, Ian Brown, Neil Young, Lennon and McCartney, The Beatles, Dr. John, Steve White, Philly Joe Jones, Keith Moon, Paul Weller, The Style Council, The Jam, The Who, The Kinks, The Small Faces, The Meters, Booker T and The MG's, The Funk Brothers, Galliano, Buena Vista Social Club, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Art Pepper and The Rhythm Section and many more.... Myspace has enabled The Boiler Club: Unsigned Heroes to listen to so much great music and link up with some great people who share our love and thoughts about live music and Djays who don’t play safe. Initially we were inspired by the do it yourself punk ethos and the late great John Peel and Joe Strummer.

We run a tiny tiny club just once a month and we have booked some so many fantastic bands through the Myspace medium.
