About The Incredible Flight of Birdman

Until fairly recently, The Incredible Flight of Birdman was a song-writing partnership between two University friends who lived in distant lands; occasional sojourns focused on writing and recording songs to act as surrogate children and keep them company during the fallow periods when they were apart. Some of these songs have been uploaded for casual adoption.

The Birds have since relocated and been joined by two more friends. They now straddle the neighbouring counties of Essex and Cambridge and will be playing as many gigs and recording as many new songs in 2009 as possible. New recordings are in the process of being mixed and mastered and will be uploaded soon.

I think theres a niche in the market for songs about womb-shine, if you ever record an album make sure its a conceptual album about womb-shine, The NME will love it.

Also, make sure to pick up last years 'For Emma, Forever Ago' album by Bon Iver, its quite beautiful in places and his ability to write songs about love lost is quite exceptional.

I sound like a representative for a record company now.

I wish! :-/ That would have been better than what he just did: to abandon a prestigious college a year and a half before finishing to go and study in a useless little bad school...

Oh well.. how are you? I see the Birdman is in the middle of worldwide domination plans! Hope everything is going well and the gigs are amazing and the bats are well far away from you! ;-)

The Birdmen sound brilliant live via mobile phone. Take my word for it. I was thinking that maybe in future I will sit at home when the Birdmen are performing, after-all it is comfortable. I can have Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares on in the background and my little bunny rabbit hopping all over me. Bliss.

You fellas are excellent. If only I was single and ten years younger.

Love you
xx

Ha,ha... Yeah, that happens... those evil flutters :-p Though for me nothing like the evil crows, those evil stuffed crowds with bulbs instead of eyes I saw in Bergen... Still have nightmares.. :-P See?

Anyway, all this was actually to ask, how was the concert at the Globe? (I know I know my brain works in mysterious ways). I hope it went great! and that there are videos and photos avaliable to request, ehem, ehem.
:-D Cheers from hot Mexico city!

All the best for the Globe dudes. Apparently my kidney isn't worth enough to get a car for the night, this downturn's brought all the donors out in force. Gutted... or not, well, you know...

I gave birth to a mouse listening to your guitar swoop regally around the room, Richard. I really can't afford to look after it.

Super-pooping show, four-boys. It made the hairs on the palms of my hands stand up. That night, with the moon fullsome in the sky, I went out into the night with new life ...
Can't wait for the next one.

Right back at you fellas. It was a great night. How did you manage to look so confident on your first gig? We had the look of fear for our first 3 gigs at least! Hopefully see you guys again soon.

Nick, I was playing my mother your music and she exclaimed, "Little Nicky Osbourne, who used to chuck his sandwiches over our wall on his way back from school" Yes mother, the very same.
