REQUIEM NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE ONLINE AT iTUNES and CDBABY.COM or you can download from our disc manufacturer here:
MTV.com/news: "On the opposite end of the newcomer spectrum are the Informati, a Radiohead-inspired project featuring a progressive composer and an experimental guitarist. The duo's self-titled debut finds them blending classical arrangements with electronic rhythms, psychedelic guitars, dub bass — and best of all, the entire effort is sung in Latin!"
Performer Magazine: “With electronic beats, spacey guitars and minor chords a plenty, Requiem has just enough cool to be tapped for a Lexus commercial.”
XLR8R: "Requiem doesn’t claim to be a film soundtrack, but I’d bet money some of the music from this album will wind up in some psychological thriller in the near future."
The INFORMATI started as the musical collaboration between a young progressive composer and a postmodern, experimental guitarist. Their first release, a self-produced concept album designed around a traditional requiem, is a startlingly mature example of 2 musicians far beyond their time. By fusing together classical elements and language with modern styles and instruments, Mark Inman and TS Ryan (vocals and guitar respectively) defied genre and left a lasting impression on the contemporary landscape of music.
Heavily inspired by European acts Radiohead and Sigur Ros, Mark and TS sought out a studio that housed the proper tools necessary to make such a competitive, dynamic record. The recordings took place at Boston’s Sanctum Sound, where The studio’s owner, Steve Catizone personally took on their project and served as both engineer and producer, bringing to life the arrangements mark and TS had scored over the last year. Guest appearances on Requiem also include Guitar from Caspian’s Phillip Jamieson, drums from Seneca’s Brad Caetano, and bass from Constant's, Ben Fowlie,
Currently, The INFORMATI are a 5-piece ensemble featuring a DJ and visuals, focused on taking their project abroad. In addition to searching for an international label to partner with, they can be found working on a 2nd edition of Requiem, featuring remixes from local area DJ’s in collaboration with the Good Life (boston). The INFORMATI are also proud to be part of an upcoming music compilation benefiting Spare Change News and the Homelessness empowerment Project. Both releases are due out later this year.

We don't actually put on gigs (we're sticking to just listing them and chasing down the bands which is pretty much a full time job in itself!) but we do have a long list of local promoters that may be able to help - take a look at http://bristollivebands. com/modules/mylinks/viewcat. php?cid=3 Should be a few there that can help :)
Easily one of the most important bands of our times (and we don't say that lightly), Stars of the Lid are the highpoint of the ambient genre. Their influence on the music that really matters over the last decade has been huge, and we're incredibly honoured to be hosting them again in Leeds. This gig will be very very different, and very very special. Stars of the Lid have excelled at designing subtle, minimalist epics which sound like they're being played on a single multifaceted organic instrument. A wise man once described SOTL as "divine classical drones without the tedious intrusion of drums, or vocals. "
The Declining Winter is the musical project of Richard Vincent Adams of Leeds UK, the co-founder of the continuing group Hood and a full time stricken office worker. What does it sound like? Richard says "cassette tapes spilling out of the glovebox of a 1970's Datsun Sunny somewhere in the north of England, captured on Super 8 film". He's not far off. Live he is joined by a few more people to bring the beautiful pastoral feel to life. Wonderful stuff.
