The Initial Thing formed back in 2006 with the members Rich, Joe and Callum. We started looking for a drummer and we found Andy but in 2007 he went away to Australia so we recruited Ant as the new drummer.
We have a certain chemistry between us all and it works wonders for the band and music. We cover a lot of venues gathering a loyal fan base as we go!
Our music has meaning and every member puts a part of themselves into it for the best possible outcome. Our songs are normally detailed and precise. As for genre, we say rock/funk but call us what you will.
We have a nick name for the band, “TIT”. (‘T’he ‘I’nitial ‘T’hing) It sounds rather good and amusing in a chant! Unforgettable too!
Over the last 2 years we have been performing some covers and working hard on getting our own music down and out to people, and many thanks to everyone that’s come down to supported us and for all the kind words they say about us.
In 2008 we are working harder than ever with our material and events. We predict it will be a busy year! Keep your eyes and ears pealed for us!
