We try our best to sound like the bands that we cover. Of course, some of the endings are a little different, but we try to make them sound as close as we can to the original songs! We do throw in a pinch of individuality though, because after all, isnt that what makes bands different?
The Inspired are a Coalville based covers band that have been together since May of 2006. All of the members have been, and still are involved in other projects involving each other. We are all unique musicians, all with our own musical influences and backgrounds, from: Disco, Funk, Heavy Rock, Classic Rock, New Wave, Punk, Dance, Blues, Acoustic, and much more besides.
As all four of the members are all accomplished singers in their own right, you will hear astounding vocal harmonies in a number of our tracks. You will hear 2, 3 and even 4 part harmonies in a number of our songs.
When we thought about defining one genre for The Inspired, we came to a big halt. How can you have a covers band that only plays one genre?! We play all types of music, from Modern Rock by Greenday, to Classic Rock by Queen. From Indie music by Franz Ferdinand and The Kaiser Chiefs, to Blues by The Spencer Davis Group. On top of that, we even stick a bit of Jon Bon in there just for good measure!!
We cater for people of all ages, this is shown in our choice of Rock and Roll Music by Chuck Berry & The Commitments, and to crown it all, we even throw in some Elvis Presley, and Cliff Richard! Need we say anymore?!! We are all unique in our own rights - but isn’t that what makes a band?
When it comes down to it, the majority of famous pop/rock/ska/hillbilly/funk band started out playing songs by other people, here at The Inspired, we're slowly realising that, and we're starting to learn songs that we like..but you will LOVE. Hopefully, one day, you will sit there thinking "Wonder when The Inspired are playing again?" that is what we want, and we cant do it without your help!!

We are performing Tonight in Round 2 of Surface Unsigned Festival 2008 @ The Custard Factory (Factory Club), Birmingham.

Hiya chaps Got some backdrops made up for the Inspired artwork. They're in the "inspired" folder on my myspace pics page. The colour one would see each member of the band standing in a different window, the other would see you playing on the roof top in the foreground ( the king Kong figure can be replaced with anything really....a giant pig, mad cartoon character...whatever...or you can just have the street scene without the monster thing going on.
