the invasions are a band involved with minimalism, surf guitars, and good ol garage rock. music should be deconstructed, but danceable. music has gotten too stale and templated, too pretentious and egotistical, its time to take it back to the low fi fun of playing on broken equipment with your friends and having a good time so shake off all the shit you have to deal with in this modern world. link wray, devo, the cramps, beat happening, and billy childish had it right when they simplified and reconstructed just for fun. now its our turn, and yours.
James, you have such a rad voice!!! Outerspace iz mein favorite. Thanks for helpin me get my life on track...Best of wishex 2 U & The Invasions! - Zufnoc

Lifestyle: Addiction in Humboldt's Rock Scene debuts today on my show at 1:00 on 94.1 KSLG. James did an incredible job telling his story in there, so I hope you get a chance to tune in. We'll also be re-running it at 6pm this coming Thursday (Feb. 15th) on Plastic Jackson's show.
If you can't pick up KSLG on your radio, you might try the web stream at www.kslg.com.

Great show last night, guys! Short, sweet, and a great energy. It's hard not to be into that! I am feeling a bit half-dead this morning, though... did you guys zombify me?
