Too many to count, there are too many people in the band! After a quick couple of phone calls and the odd email this is who and what we're listening to this week. Siamese Dream - Smashing Pumpkins, Appetite for Destruction - Guns N' Roses, Bleed America - Jimmy Eat World. The Final Cut - Pink Floyd, Tones – Eric Johnson, August & Everything After – Counting Crows , Ten - Pearl Jam, Roger Waters - Amused to death, Songs for the Jilted Generation - The Prodigy, Eels, Dream Theatre , Steely Dan etc….. Influences include all of the above including Brother John Daly, Kerbdog, Eric Johnson, Jeff Beck, Pat Metheny, Nitin Sawhney, John Petrucci, Dave Gilmore, Matt Chamberlain, Graham Broad, Chad Smith, Rod Morganstein, Dave Grohl, Liam Howlett, Brian Eno, Chemical Brothers, Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Richard Wright, Nick Mason and of course, Syd Barrett. Probably a lot more besides but the road crew wouldn't answer the phone.
The Irish Pink Floyd are currently touring Ireland with their classic interpretation of ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ an all new greatest hits show and a new lighting and visual show based on the legendary Pink Floyd ‘Pulse’ tour of the early nineties. A casual fan will find much to enjoy with hits like ‘Another brick in the Wall’ and ‘Money on the setlist. However, diehard fans are in for a treat as the Irish Pink Floyd regularly features songs from the Pink Floyd back catalogue that you hope for but don’t expect to hear.

What do we look like?
Visually the show is stunning, with the largest sound and lighting system currently on tour in Ireland. As a special treat for fans in 2009 The Irish Pink Floyd will be performing with a quadraphonic sound system in selected venues nationwide. Combine all this with a three meter circular video screen at the rear of the stage projecting a mixture of film footage, stills and animation and you get a show that is as visually powerful as the music itself.

Shame it cant be counted towards the UK charts, else it might actually get in the charts! :-)
Our new version of the song (replacing the previous one) is now uploaded on our profile - inspired by Pink Floyds unreleased piece of mucic "The Mortality Sequence" - dedicated to Richard Wright R.I.P
