"There are probably thousands of bands like Their Strange Gathering up and down the British Isles, struggling to get noticed whilst peddling their decidedly British sound to a handful of hardcore followers. However, few new bands probably work as hard as Their Strange Gathering in crafting a truly unique sound. Taking bands such as US luminaries Death Cab for Cutie and Explosions in the Sky as a launch pad, the South-East London quartet play delicately arranged, soaring indie rock, brimming with panache, style and heart. Only four songs long, ‘A Matter of Profit’ veers from emo-lite indie pop (opener ‘Requisite’) to the ambitious post-rock of the title track. Oddly, the mixture of styles works exceedingly well, meaning this is one gathering storm that you could do well to get caught up in". - Rob Mair, Big Cheese
The four members of Their Strange Gathering converged in the summer of 2007 through a mutual admiration for
bands such as Idlewild, Death Cab for Cutie and Mogwai.
Sure-footed in a live environment, the band confidently interlace sincere, melodic and arresting songs with reflective instrumentals.
The band are currently based in South East London, where they write and rehearse.
Recently the band became part of new London/German label 'Gold Room Records'. They can be contacted at myspace.com/goldroomrecords. To contact the label directly for information regarding Their Strange Gathering releases, or general enquiries please email Asiye Aydin at asiyeaydin@aol.com

'A dialogue (or maybe full scale row, who can say) between radio-friendly melodic pop and post rock wall of noise. It's as if Idlewild and Explosions In The Sky had a drinking competition and ended up in a bar brawl. Idlewild come out on top btw.' - 2bob promotions.
