For years I had no real direction in my life. Most people know who they are and what they need in life a lot earlier than I did. I think I can say that I have found that direction.
My kids will tell you I've always been a witch but perhaps they would use a different pronunciation. I admittedly have made many mistakes on this road of life, many of which have effected them in profound ways which I deeply regret but as we all know.....can't change. I have watched all three of them grow into strong, successful, loving people though and I am happy for them and extremely proud. I also have three great stepkids that have embraced me into their family with love and respect. I am indeed blessed.
So anyway, I had always been searching for something I could relate to on a spiritual level. I did my time with the organized religious groups and although I was educated and enlightened in some ways, it never really fulfilled my spiritual need. I always had something inside that said there is more to know.
I respect all religions as I don't believe that anyone has the right to judge based on a choice we as human beings make in our spiritual selves. The "I'm right---you're wrong" concept which so many people seem to practice is probably why I chose to follow my own path. I don't ever claim to be right. I just know that I'm comfortable with what I believe and I think that's what spirituality needs to be. For me anyway.
Nature is my church. I see evidence of a higher presence in the moon, stars and sun. To walk through the woods or to sit under a clear moonlit sky energizes me. The wonder of a thunderstorm and the touch of a soft breeze are reflections of the magic all around. I am thankful for that.
Everything is energy. I believe that we have the ability to use those energies within our own lives to create positive and needed changes within ourselves and the world. I also believe that praise is in order to that which is responsible for all that we are given.
Recently I was presented with the notion that I could make my beliefs my work. I do think that we receive nudges that we don't always respond to but I'm acting on this one. I created this page and a website for people of like minds. The website is still a work in progress but will grow as I do everyday.

Today is the first day of Spring, and Ostara. We are finally seeing trees and other plants come back to life, the animals we haven't seen in months are out and about again. Not to mention, the winter weather is finally starting to drift away....
