The cultural mosaic of Israel comes to life with the music of Eastern European, Balkan, Gypsy, Sephardic and Yemenite melodies.

The five members of the Ethnic Ensemble come from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds and truly reflect the varied musical styles of Israel. The music performed by the ensemble relies on Eastern European, Balkan and Gypsy traditions. Naturally, it combines materials from the countries of origin of the five musicians; the Sephardic traditional music, Mediterranean influences, the music of Yemenite Jews and some original music as well.

Israeli culture is the product of an immigrant society and brings together Balkan music alongside the sounds of Morocco, traditional Russian music side by side with Arabic and Middle Eastern traditional music and so on. The Ensemble's unique performances represent the diverse and colourful cultural characters of Israeli music. After all, where else is it possible to listen to an old Yemenite song accompanied by an Accordion?

The Ensemble was established in 2004 by individuals who are active, leading figures at the heart of the Israeli music industry. They display their ability to perform in a variety of musical styles and demonstrate a virtuoso control of their instruments.

Dear Talya and the rest of the band:)!
New picture on your page and looks very fresh and beautiful! I am glad for new-old tunes you put on your page and I remember them very well from your Varazdin concert!
Your remember motek, when you translated on the Špancirfest concert that Shtu Haadarim means "Drink herds"! and some people understood or heard "Drink hurts" and thinking that this is kind of drinking song and shouted: "Lechayim!" ;)))
Blessed be you motek Talya and stay strong, inspired of may magic of your voice be always with you!
Regards to all guys in the band!
Neshikot! Shalom!
Dražen^^
