Jack London was formed for a New Years-eve concert in 2004. All of the bandmembers knew each other before but didn..t know that one day they would form a band together. Arni had just moved to Reykjavik from Akureyri and was starting a new chapter in his life away from his family. Unnar was finishing the first semester in the MCI Bible-school and had the second semester coming. Coming from a family of musicians Unnar had never shown any special talent on the music-field, until he showed a new side of himself at the time he was in that Bible-school. Unnar and Árni met on a conference and Unnar told Arni that he had been making songs and arranging with his younger brother Oli. Arni had played a lot whit Simon and decided that they should play few songs on the annual New Years-eve concert. Arni talked to Unnar and even tough Unnar was a little shy, he still wanted to perform. So Unnar, Arni, Simon and Oli were going to play on that concert but they needed some back up, some guitarists. So they got their good friends Hreinn Logi Gunnarsson, who is now in the band Nevolution, and Daniel Steingrimsson, who is now in a Bible-university in Belgium, to play with them. Jack London was formed and the first song they performed, in front of 200 people, was Life Spin. People instantly liked this band, which had a new style and bringing Christian music on a new level. Even though the band was formed in 2004, it is still developing and making new songs. They have only recorded one song and only played few times, but the future holds what is to come for Jack London.
