THE JAINS, an extremely passionate, female rock duo based in Milan. The band is composed of Kristen
Reichert (guitar and vocals) and Anna Di Pierno (drums).
Their first album “Kill The Ghost” was published in February of 2005 and released with Tube Records. The 11 tracks, produced artistically by Cesare Basile, are a selection of the bands most representative characteristics from the years prior to their release. Distorted atmospheres, dissonant sounds and sensual, instinctive rhythms. Alongside their release of “Kill The Ghost”, the power duo embarked on their national live tour where they played over 80 gigs in the most respectable concert halls across Italy. While receiving energetic feedback from audiences, they also opened concerts for international rock star SKIN and renown Italian rock bands such as MARLENE KUNTZ and ULAN BATOR.
Their first video for “Stronger” hit the television screens in November of 2005 and was in constant rotation on MTV Italy, All Music and Rock TV.
Quickly acclaimed in the rock alternative scene, they performed live for the National Independent Record Label convention M.E.I. in November 2005 and received the award for BEST ALBUM COVER. In January 2006 they were special guests on MTV Italy’s “Brand New” and their video remained on the program’s play list for over 2 months.
THE JAINS musical alliance began in 2001, shifting from unique interpretations of cover tunes, into the evolution of their own original music project. Together they discovered a strong artistic and personal harmony while creating songs with a very distinct style. They decided that a two-member band was their ultimate strength, leaving a third component simply out of the equation! Following their natural alternative rock instinct, their collaboration results in music that is powerful in its impact, raw, essential, intense and immediate. Their influences range from P.J. Harvey and Hole to Jeff Buckley and the Pixies.
During the year 2007, The Jains recorded their second album “Goddess in You” with internationally renown artistic producer Rob Ellis. Well known for his production and collaboration with Placebo, P.J. Harvey and various alternative bands such as Marlene Kuntz and Madrugada His work on the sessions at the Red House Recordings studio’s in Senigallia, Italy with The Jains produced fantastic results. The bands trademarks in impact, sensuality, passion and raw rugged guitars certainly aren’t lacking in their latest work. Released once again with Tube Records, the 13 tracks introduce an even stronger undertone of spirituality and hint at the double meaning behind the pronunciation in it’s title, as if reading: “God is in You”.

An artistic event of techno music and video art performance in the heart of Milan, with the contribution of Box Vision And Galleria Meravigli. The location is very significant being in the historical part of Milan with its typical architecture and charm, it will be a night in which all the positive energy will be released in a city which is often closed to young people and there expressive necessities. The colors of the night and the appropriation of the city center by the youth culture will push aside the greyness and the disturbing chaos that are king during the day. We will once again get together by the "sacred fire" listening and dancing to the rhythm of the drums!
