The music Jamfriends plays can be characterized as a mix of grooves, tribal, hip hop, reggae, freestyle and unknown vibes created by themselves.
Jamfriends is a multicultural group, influenced by the vibes of everykind of music from Maroco to South America. Most of the Jamfriends members are born on Bonaire N.A (the divers,windsurfing and kitesurfing paradise). They grew up with almost all kinds of music from the Caribbean.
The Jamfriends songs are in different languages like: Papiamentu, Dutch, Spanish and English. We like to party and have fun.
Jamfriends is een gezellige groepje vrienden uit IJsselstein/Nieuwegein/Utrecht en is ontstaan uit liefde voor muziek, dansen én elkaar.
Drie broers afkomstig uit Bonaire N.A, Gerald (Gee), Giovanny (BamBam) en George (JoJo) Dammers vormen de basis van de Jamfriends, samen met Fredi Honnef (Miss Fay – geliefde van Gee) en Myriam Lamdahhi (Miry-l – geliefde van BamBam).
Het begon allemaal in 2007, toen we op regenachtige dagen bij elkaar kwamen in de studio van Gee in IJsselstein. Om samen te jammen en te zingen.
Vaak ook met onze vrienden, vandaar de naam Jamfriends.
Muziek haalt het beste in ons naar boven en met onze eigen teksten vol positieve vibes, zorgen we ervoor dat de zon gaat schijnen, zelfs als het buiten regent, maar we hebben vooral veel fun!
De muziek die wij maken is een mix van reggea, reggeaton, dutchpop, hiphop, R&B en eigenlijk alles wat daar tussenin zit. Jamfriends is een multiculturele groep en we zingen in het Papiaments (taal gesproken op de Nederlandse Antillen), Engels, Spaans en Nederlands.
