The Jayways are an indie rock n roll band from the suburbs of Essex. The band blend incisive guitar with strong melodies and catchy choruses that will excite the senses and enlighten the soul.
The band enjoys gigging as much as recording & writing and like nothing more than playing to an eagerly waiting crowd of loyal fans or giving it there all to a crowd of strangers in all venues big and small. The charisma and energy of front man Gerarrd add to the bands strong emotive live sound. The band have built up a strong local following of all ages since there formation in mid 2007 and repeatedly sell out venues around town, even in dwellings where guitar music is forbidden and a rock n roller wouldn’t dare to tread.
The Jayways started recording everything from day one at drummer Rees’s home studio which gave them another way to be creative early on. In June 2008 they recorded at a professional studio with Jon Moon at Sensible Music Studios in Islington and with The Animal Farm in May 2009. The current 'Light' EP is now avaliable on itunes and all other online outlets.
Hey! No it wasn't me :) I was in the audience. I will perform at the Ronnie Scotts' bar on December 22. You've got great songs, I really enjoyed your set. :)
Haha arrr well you see Friday was a bad day for me - ended up splitting with the lad. And then I saw your set and it cheered me up SO much and then saw the anchor on your top.. and thought. Hmm. Anchors keep you grounded and you know - to stay true to yourself. So I'm getting an anchor design thang :) Lol x
Hey mann! Sweet set on Friday :) I saw you like a year or two ago, and thought you were mint then too! But you've improved so much. AND You've inspired my next tattoo lmao x
