JC3 Biography:
JC3 began as a studio project by then SPIFF member Jeff Conner (JC). When
SPIFF decided to disband in the summer of 2004, the project moved from studio
side-effort to primary focus. To pull the concept out of the studio and onto the
stage, Conner enlisted the aid of three friends who happen also to be Cincinnati
music scene notables.
Mark Brasington Guitar / Vocals;
In addition to JC3, Mark is lead vocalist and guitarist for the band Odd Man Out (ed. note; defunt as of '06),
as well as guitarist for clabbergirl. His release in early 05 of the concept double
CD, White is Gray, was met with both acclaim and enthusiasm.
Sean Rhiney Bass / Vocals;
Sean is co-founder of the Midpoint Music Festival, lead singer and bassist for the
award winning clabbergirl, and bassist for the band Pike 27.
Mark Szabo Drums / Percussion;
Szabo also fills the roles of percussionist for the band Kohai, and lead guitarist
for the acclaimed Whitney Barricklow Band.
With JC acting as lead vocalist and guitarist, the band began perforrmances in
late summer 2004, releasing the five-song EP, Moment, in November.
The songs reflect the multiple musical influences Conner has garnered through
the years; relying heavily on 70s hard rock and punk, while also allowing flavors
of garage, post punk and pop into the mix.
