THE JEM GALLERY opened its doors to the public on Friday June 10, 2005.
The exhibition gallery showcases contemporary lowbrow and underground art by emerging and established Vancouver artists working in a variety of mediums and disciplines ranging from 2D and 3D to installations and digital media.
There is also a lovely little shop in the back featuring unique treasures hand-crafted by local Vancouver and Canadian artists and artisans - jewellery, ceramics, natural skin care products and textile art and other collectibles.
Mongrel Zine #3 is out and has 48 pages of interviews hipping ya to Rick Trembles, Mark Sultan/BBQ, The Tranzmitors, The Pointed Sticks, Bloodshot Bill, Oily Chi, The Stolen Minks, we meet Defektors, plus all the usuals: music reviews, live reviews, drawings, Baron Fingers, Make-A-Match, and more!..
