Hey there friends and rockers! My name is Jesse Kid. I’ve been playing music in all kinds of genres since the year of 1990 and my main instrument has always been the guitar. Started to practice guitar at the local musicschool and Rickard Arvidsson (R.I.P) teached me how to play classical guitar.. I got my first classic guitar from my parents at the age of twelve.
After three years of classic songs and guitarlessons I started to listen more and more to the rockbands around the world.. Guns N Roses, Twisted Sister, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Aerosmith etc. thats been with me for pretty long time was now touching my deepest soul and I wanted to play in a band in 1992/93. My first real band named Rest In Peace was created.. we played all kinds of covers from all kinds of bands, also some own songs where made. This was my first experience when it came to playin in a rockband.
Those years in early 90s it was a new rockfestival growin in my hometown..it was called Sommarfestivalen (Summerfestival).. today known as Sweden Rock Festival. In the summer of 94 I saw Zakk Wylde with his band Pride & Glory and I loved it so much I had to make something similar in the future I said to my self. 70s progressive and countryifluenced rock n roll.. like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Blackfoot, Uriah Heep, Cactus and Captain Beyond was running loud in my boyroom at home. I was playin constantly guitar in Highschool (about four hours a day every day) and I was really learning to make songs by my self. At this point I quitted playing classic guitar and only learned rock n roll style. I was also starting to take acting lessons at the local theatre school.. there I learned to sing and act.
Now it was a great opportunity to build a band (a powertrio) like my idols. I started the band Vulture Cavalry and we totally rocked with old 70s bluesrock/stoner style.. one bass-player, one drummer and me on guitars and vocals. Good to know is that this very band wasnt really built until early 99, between 94 and 99 I had been playin in many bands, but I dont think they’re so important to make a bid deal of in my bio actually. Well parallell to this band I also had a coverband named El Nino, with some friends of mine. We played at local bars, discos, clubs etc.. and it was a great time, we played together in nine years 97-06. One of my best friends Bejje (R.I.P) passed away in early 07, I miss him so much, but I had to face the fact that life do go on.. and things like that happens in every humans life when you least expect it.
Vulture Cavalry signed a contract with a swedish label called Soundport and we recorded one video, one single and one full-length album. It all seemed to go fine but then the label had a total breakdown and everything just fell apart, I guess all cd’s still lying in a box at someones office nowdays.. and I cant do jack shit about it. All copyrights and shit are out of my understandings. So we did one last demo with Vulture Cavalry and called it ”White Demos”, I really think that one kicked serious ass and was better than anything we’ve done before. It all stopped in 2003 when I moved out of my hometown to search for greater experience and other people to hang around with, that was similar to my own potential when it comes to music and makin life a wider place to live.
Somewhere in the year of 2004 I hooked up with Manx, some of you know him from bands like Debbie Ray and Baby Jane nowdays. He asked me to play with a band from Nassjö called The Scarecrows.. I said yeah, and we really had a blazt together and made really good songs. Also a demo came up with that band, we called it P.A.L.S (Put All Lies in System). We had a few gigs but then bandmembers was quitting and it all fell apart like I had experienced many times before. But one thing was for sure, I would never give up the music.. so I was continue to make own music all the time and started my own project ”The Prince Of Pistoleers”. I recorded two songs in summer 2006 ”Second Thoughts” and ”Dead End Move”, it was made for my love of music and I guess this project will come back sortly again, but with different musicians. I write new songs when inspiration comes around and stick to the music interest in life, what would I do without it?!.
In the summer of 06 I was in my hometown area and at the Sweden Rock Festival to meet some old friends, but also meet new contacts for coming recordings and business purposes. A good friend of me (Madde aka Mad) came up to me and said ”I’ve heard you lookin for a band” and I goes ”yeah”. She introduced me for Rob and J.J cause they where looking for a new singer in their band Danger. I was thinkin ”intresting”, but I didnt really follow the metal-style they where playing at the moment. I wanted something hotter and sleazier.. and the fact is that they where telling me the exact same thing, they wanted a sleaze singer. We drank a few beers and listening to kick ass songs that afternoon in the sunny southern Sweden.. and I said that I must think it over. Not many weeks after that I called them up and said: Im IN!.. And thats how it started with my position as a singer in the swedish sleazeband Danger!
After that we rehearsed alot and shortly we got good respond from different parts of Sweden, booking gigs was now almost a full-time job. We recorded the first demo ”Playin The Game” in september 06, then ”Spread Your Legz” in january 07… in april 07 came ”California Red”, followed by ”Shove It Up Your Azz” in September 07. We’re now having lots of gigs done this first year and lots of gigs coming up..One two week tour in Germany/Netherlands is done, two smaller tours in the U.K as well.
Now we're just waiting for our latest EP "First Touch" to be released. New releasedate is the 27th of june 08. It was a blazt recording it.
The reason we added three older songs to this EP, is that none of our earlier songs/demos has ever been promoted and shown worldwide to the music industry and press, in a major way. But this will happen with "First Touch".
And to those who wonderes...Ofcourse we haven't made our best song yet ;).
